A day with the family!

Giada got to spend some time on Thursday with her Grandma, Aunt Pam, and cousins, Joanna, Collin, Lauren and Seth. She loves having such a big family and being able to spend time with everyone. She was able to hang out with the family in between naps! I know that some day Giada will realize how lucky she is to having such a caring, loving family. We are blessed. It is true that the best things in life don't cost anything at all.

Some of my favorite things....

Giada got to spend some quality time with Aunt Stacie this weekend. Although she had a crying spell, all in all she loves spending time with Aunt Stacie! But Aunt Stacie caught Giada in the act of sucking her thumb! I still can't help it, I think it's cute. Now, when i have to pay large orthodontist bills to fix problems thumb sucking causes I may not think it's cute!
Daddy also found out that Giada loves cruising around in her jeep (thanks cousin Cecelia for the jeep!!)

Hershey Chocolate World!

Well, it's official. Giada had her first visit to Hershey's Chocolate World today. While we were on the chocolate world ride her eyes were very big. It was fun to see her on the ride and sing along to the songs. Here are some pics from our trip there today....I had to have her in the moby since they don't let you bring a stroller inside.





Other things that are new....Giada has started to suck her thumb. When I put her down to go to sleep the first thing she does is stick her thumb in her mouth. yes, it's a bad habit, but i can't help but just stare at her and think how adorable she looks. She is also putting her hands up to her bottle now when i feed her. She is drooling lots, so my mom says that she is probably teething (she is also a little crankier than normal). I have to say, I am not looking forward to the much dreaded teething stage! But overall, being a mom is the best job I have ever had. Before I had Giada I had a feeling for a couple of years that I wasn't fulfilling what I was suppose to be doing in life. The moment she was born I knew that was exactly what I was suppose to be doing.

Out for a Monday run

Giada did much much better today in the BOB while on our run. She didn't cry at all (except when daddy stepped on the wristband to the BOB!). Although she doesn't look very happy in the pictures about to go on a family run, if she is not crying, then we assume she is content :)

Giada had a busy weekend! Yesterday she got to spend it with her Great Nanny, Great Pap, and Grandma and Grandpa Myers. Today Giada got to spend some qt with her cousin (actually 2nd cousin), Elizabeth. Elizabeth loves helping out with Giada! We had a nice, relaxing BBQ today and then went for a family walk. Giada's weekend was ended with a fun bath from Daddy! Giada has been sleeping much longer through the night the past couple of nights, from about 8:30pm-4 or 6ish...which is giving her mommy a chance to get some quality sleep and we like that! Hopefully this is a sign of getting into a good sleeping pattern :)

Eating dinner together

So my friend Kim gave me this great idea...trying Giada out in the highchair when we are eatting dinner. So we did, and Giada actually sat there throughout all of dinner and let mommy eat for the first time in a long time without having a baby on her lap! She looks so tiny in the highchair, i just have to laugh! I love her to death and get sad when i think of how fast things are going already. She's only 3 months but i already miss her being a baby!

Like a cute little bug....

I just have to laugh...since Giada has learned to roll from her belly to her back, she has done this many times in her crib. Her newest habit is now rolling onto her back while she is sleeping (YES! we let her belly sleep!)which in turn wakes her up. So i find her in her crib making noises and flaring her arms and legs like a little bug that can't get back to it's belly! Giada's first 4th of July!

Although we couldn't spend the day with Giada (we had my cousin's wedding to attend at the Skytop Lodge--absolutely gorgeous!) she still got in the spirit with her 4th of July outfit and even a 4th of July picnic. Aunt Melissa and Uncle Andy watched Giada and she had a blast with them! Giada continues to do new things almost every day. Today she rolled from her belly to her back again and is cooing constantly. It seems the more I imitate her, the more she talks to me. She is also smiling more and enjoying "play time" more. Here are some pictures from before the start of the festivities.

Am I finally getting the hang of this??

Well, Today is Giada's 3 month birthday and I do feel like my feet are SOMEWHAT on the ground...finally! We went for a 4 mile run today and by mile 2 Giada was crying in the jogging stroller, but we still had 2 miles to run back to the car, so she proceeded to cry for the next 2 miles. She'll like running some day I am sure! She is starting to talk a lot and loves when we imitate her. She is also starting to sleep better, so that's always nice!
