Zoo America

We had a gorgeous day today to visit Hershey Chocolate World and Zoo America with our friends Kim and Jackson. Giada loves the singing cows at Chocolate World. She had her first taste of the delicious chocolate milkshakes they make and she of course loved it! This was Dominic's first time at Zoo America. It was adorable watching Giada and Jackson run a little together. And even though at times Giada refused to give Jackson a hug, she gave him a kiss before we left. What a great day!







Yes, I forgot Dominic's hat, so he ended up borrowing his sister's!

My growing babies!

Giada had her 18 month well-baby check up yesterday and Dominic had his 4 month well-baby check up today. I can't wait until the day that my kids can go to the doctor's office without getting shots! For Giada I think her next appt (at 2 years old) will be shot-free! Here's how they are growing!

The doctor is very happy with their growth as are we. We couldn't be more blessed to have healthy babies!

Time to trick or treat!

We had such a fun Halloween this year! We went to my sister and brother-in-law's house to go trick or treating with my niece. Giada was a peacock and Dominic was a scarecrow. This was the first halloween Giada was actually able to get out of the wagon and go door to door. Dominic slept most of the time. Then on Saturday we went to Happy Hauntings at Dutchwonderland. That was a lot more fun. Giada got to trick or treat and ride lots of rides. Dominic went on the merry go round for the first time. It's so much fun having kids!

Buffalo NY!

We made our first trip to Buffalo, NY this weekend as a family of 4. We went to visit my sister and brother, Lisa and Dave. Giada and Dominic had so much fun visiting with Aunt Lisa and Uncle Dave. They were even crazy enough to offer to babysit for us on Saturday night so Dan and I can have a dinner together :) We left at about 7am on Friday morning and got to Buffalo around 2:30ish. The ride up was rocky because there weren't too many places to stop and there was a lot of whining going on in the car. But, we became wise, bought a portable dvd player and the ride home was much smoother! Giada was occupied by Dora and Dominic slept for much of the time. Plus we took a different route on the way home and there were many more places to stop to stretch our legs. We even found a playground that Giada got to stretch out and play on for a little bit. We went to the Zoo in Buffalo and Giada's favorite word was "Wow!". This was Dominic's first time at a Zoo. Just spending some qt with Aunt Lisa and Uncle Dave was great. Can't wait till next time!

Pumpkin Patch Time!

What a gorgeous weekend for a ride on a hay wagon to a pumpkin field. We had such a good time taking Giada and Dominic for their first time picking pumpkins. I am sure next year Dominic will be much more involved in the process. Giada seemed to like the first pumpkin she saw. Now if we could just find time to carve or paint the pumpkins.....

Giada and Dominic's first time at Hershey Park

We were able to score free tickets to Hershey Park for this past Sunday. It was a little crowded and a little hot, but we had such a good time watching Giada on all the rides. This is one of the first times that she has been on rides by herself. It did make me sad to see her all alone on some of the rides, but then I thought next year, she'll have her brother to go on rides with. Then I thought that makes this tired, chaotic life that we have right now worth it :)Giada loved wearing her sunglasses and fought with us when we tried to take them off. So she wore them most of the day. Dominic did a lot of sleeping....lol. Here are some pics from the trip.

Dominic had his 2 month doctor's appt this week. Although he still doesn't sleep for longer than 4 hour stretches and seems to cry a lot during the day, the doctor is happy with his progress and all in all says we have a healthy baby boy :) A healthy and GROWING baby boy! Here are his stats:

Weight: 14lbs 5 oz (92%)
Height: 22.5" (25%)
Head: 15.47" (27%)

So yes, Dominic does like to eat. And I love all the time I get to spend with him while he is eatting (well, maybe not so much when he needs to eat when we are at a restaurant where breastfeeding isn't the most comfortable)
